It’s a busy, fast-paced world. And it just keeps getting busier, faster, and louder.
We’re bombarded everyday with bad news from around the country and the world … on television, radio, in print, and especially on social media. But there’s not much true Catholicism coming through that noise.
Our responsibilities with work, family, and friends leave little time to focus on enhancing our lives. We Catholics make time to attend Mass every Sunday … on Holy Days of Obligation … and we pray daily.
We try to make time to read the Bible and we do what we can to help those around us. We may also participate in Adoration, Weekly Bible studies, church organizations, and more.
But still, something’s missing.
We Catholics don’t spend much time or energy evangelizing.
Since early in his papacy, Pope Francis has emphasized the importance of all Catholics evangelizing the Good News of the Lord.
“Every Christian is challenged, here and now, to be actively engaged in evangelization; indeed, anyone who has truly experienced God’s saving love does not need much time or lengthy training to go out and proclaim that love.”
— Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium
